At Avalon, we believe that industry leadership is achieved through continuous learning, meaningful collaboration, and active engagement with the logistics and transportation community. Staying ahead in the dynamic world of trade, logistics, and transportation means taking part in conversations that shape the future—and sharing what we’ve learned with those we serve.
That’s why Avalon is proud to sponsor, attend, and actively participate in some of the most impactful conferences in our industry. These meetings provide opportunities to explore regulatory changes, risk management strategies, and the emerging challenges and innovations impacting our clients and partners.
Where You’ll Find Us
April will be a busy month for the Avalon team as we’re taking part in several major conferences, including the NCBFAA Annual Conference, the TIA Capital Ideas Conference, and the Breakbulk & Project Cargo Conference, among other industry events.
- At the NCBFAA Annual Conference, Avalon President/CEO Mike Brown will join the “The Dark(er) Side of Tariffs” panel discussion which will be moderated by our own Kimberly Wakeman. They will examine the unintended consequences of increased tariffs such the rise of cargo theft and fraud, regulatory legal issues brokers may encounter, circumvention practices, and the need for additional insurance products.
- During the TIA Capital Ideas Conference, Lisa Vranich and Carli Gallagher will host the "Property Broker RoadBlocks," learning lab that discuss what red flags property brokers should look out for and ways to detour if faced with a 'roadblock'.
- At the Breakbulk & Project Cargo Conference, LaDonna Blackwell will participate in the panel "FTZs, Transport Risk Management, and Customs." The panel will discuss understand foreign trade zones, project transport risk management and Incoterms and customs in a breakbulk context.
By engaging in these important discussions, our team continues to share expert insights on timely issues, offer practical guidance to help attendees navigate complexity, and contribute to the advancement of our industry. We’re excited to connect with attendees and share key takeaways. For a full list of where the Avalon team will be, visit our Events & Webinars page.
