Northeast Region Team
Kathy Schricker is the Vice President of Avalon’s Northeast Region and is responsible for overseeing the region’s Sales, Operations and Account Management. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Indiana University and has over 24 years of experience in the insurance industry with a strong customer relations background. Joining Avalon in 1999, Kathy has served in various roles in the company. She began her career as an Account Manager, was later promoted to Regional Manager, and most recently Regional Vice President of Avalon’s Boston office before assuming her current position as Vice President of the Northeast Region. Kathy holds designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
Kathy’s comprehensive knowledge of Avalon’s entire suite of products makes her an incredible resource for customers and employees alike and she is well-known for being gracious with her time in sharing this knowledge. She is actively involved in the trade community and works closely with CONECT and the Boston Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (BCBFFA). Nationally, she is active with the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) where she and her team oversee the TIA Bond Program, and offer specialized products and services tailored to TIA members. Kathy manages and continues to be actively engaged in Avalon’s DOT Bond Program designed to assist our customs brokers and their importer clients who participate in NHTSA’s Registered Importer program.
In her personal time, Kathy enjoys photography, vacationing with her family, spending winters skiing in the Northeast and summers kayaking and boating in Maine.
