Katherine Priore Vice President, Information Technology
Katherine (Katie) Priore is Avalon’s Vice President, Information Technology. Katie started her career in the logistics insurance industry in 2007 as an Account Manager in Avalon’s National Accounts department. After working with many of Avalon’s large clients on their complex risk management and surety bond needs, Katie accepted a position in Avalon’s IT department to grow and manage the Business Analyst team.
In her current role as Vice President of Information Technology, Katie now leads a dynamic IT team, overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge IT strategies that align with Avalon’s organizational goals and enhance overall business performance.
Katie received a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Illinois State University. With an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Katie combines her advanced business acumen with deep technical expertise. Her strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in transforming IT infrastructures, optimizing processes, and delivering scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with family and friends, listen to audiobooks, and practice yoga. She is also a mentor with a group called Mentors in Tech (MinT) which helps overlooked tech students navigate and launch their careers through structured industry mentoring and experiences.
