Hugh L’Anglais joined Avalon Risk Management (Canada) Inc. in 2024 as an Account Executive in our Toronto Regional Office. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance and banking fields, Hugh has held the role of underwriter, broker, and banker.
His strong analytical skills are key in understanding clients’ needs, allowing him to provide innovative solutions to mitigate risk and support business growth. His experience working with companies of all sizes across both industries has given Hugh an appreciation for finding the appropriate insurance solution that aligns with the clients’ insurance and financial objectives.
Hugh is involved in various industry-related trade associations in Canada, including the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) and the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA). Hugh attended Concordia University in History & Economics and received a college degree from Champlain College in Social Science & Psychology. He is fluent in both English and French.
In his spare time, Hugh enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and discovering new places where he can enjoy all kinds of water sports.
