Dave Huck is the Vice President of Finance for Avalon Risk Management. He joined Avalon in 2010 and is currently the company’s Controller, overseeing the Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Billing departments. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Roosevelt University. Dave holds the widely-respected Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation as well as an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation.
With over 40 years of experience in Commercial Insurance, Reinsurance and Run-Off Operations, Dave is a strategic financial leader adept at identifying operating weaknesses and improving systems and controls. As a member of Avalon’s Executive Team, he has structured and implemented financial strategies that have increased operational efficiencies, reduced expenses, and improved profitability, which have helped to propel Avalon’s growth through the years. Outside of working at Avalon, Dave enjoys working on his yard and spending time with his family.
